Looks like both Ancor and Brocade will make some news for NAB on April 19-22.
Stay tuned.

From what I've read ANCR seems well positioned for digital video.
Have been very impressed what BRCD has done with its StorageTek win, like Siemans and hence getting a jump in digital radiology PACs.

With Prisa and Nstor, Forefront, and SGI I'm waiting for these horses to lead to something further, just like StorageTek has done for Brocade. The names Philips and Panasonic are ones that I hope get attached to ANCR in the near future. The list of others goes on and on....Avid, Sony,TEK, Matrox- what does a 2D-3D graphic vandor need a SAN in the booth for unless they have a much bigger agenda.

Who does BRCD have on the digital video front.....

Mountaingate

I'm hoping that ANCR can take this beachead and make it into an area of real strength. These SANs will initially be fairly small, ie one 8 port switch....but think if the internet ever gets the bandwidth for VOD. Hoping for the best.

Open Q) It has been stated that ANCR is working on a 16 port ASIC for late this year. What would this do to the price comparison to hubs?

The NAB site has new info up today..... and have highlights this Jan news.....
