One of the fundamental difference between the Ballard cell and GLE's, and I am regurgitating what the fellow in charge of fuel cells in GLE said......is, that GLE cells require a "warm-up" period. You just can't get in hit a button and drive off. However, this is not a problem for the one thing ballard has been pumping "Buses"!! They start there diesel buses now and 'warm them" then start there day!

GLE's fuel cell will not require the tanks of hydrogen or the 'refinery" that is presently part of the ballard system. So the fuel cells will take up less space, give more power, and filling up can still be done at a gas station. balance this off with the infrastructure that is required to support ballards approach,...and I think we have a winner!
