Jim, from your April 12 scan, IONN has news today.>>Lucent Technologies Offers ION Networks' Remote Security Solutions for Family of Definity Systems
BASKING RIDGE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 27, 1999--Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU - news) today announced that it will distribute a family of remote access security products from ION Networks (NASDAQ:IONN - news) for the DEFINITY® Enterprise Communications Server and DEFINITY® ProLogix(tm) Solutions.

These products secure, monitor and control access to systems and communications devices. Lucent Technologies will resell ION Networks' Sentinel 2000 products under the names: Lucent Access Security Gateway Guard (ASG Guard); Access Security Gateway Guard Plus (Guard Plus); and Access Security Gateway Key (Key). The products will augment Lucent's Remote Port Security Device (RPSD), also made by ION Networks.

ASG Guard and ASG Guard Plus are devices that connect to a business' communications systems through a local area network (LAN) or modem. LAN access integrates the security system into a company's existing network. Modem access permits dial-up connections for administration and maintenance.

Companies can choose either the ASG Guard or ASG Guard Plus, depending on the size of their communications network. The ASG Guard and ASG Guard Plus work in conjunction with the ASG Key, a portable credit card-sized device, to authenticate the identity of users.

''The Access Security Gateway Guard family offers convenient, reliable, centralized administration of communication systems across a business for the most secure protection,'' said James Moranor, Lucent Services Security Offer manager. ''The Key's light-weight, compact-size card is easy to carry and a powerful tool for administrators to monitor and control voice and data ports remotely.''

The ASG Guard consists of four host ports for connections to communications systems, two dial-up modems and one Ethernet port. The ASG Guard Plus is an expandable system with between 16 and 28 ports for larger local area network environments. Both allow multiple parties to view their communications networks simultaneously through PCs and offer a series of reports including access logs, system failure and error information.

The Access Security Gateway products also will support INTUITY® AUDIX(tm) Multimedia Messaging System, INTUITY Conversant® Voice Response Systems and CentreVu® Call Center Solutions.

Lucent's Access Security Gateway products will be available in the United States and Canada. Pricing for the Guard is $2,995; the Guard Plus costs $5,550 and the Key costs $100. For more information on Lucent's Access Security Gateway products, call 800-247-7000. Parties outside the United States should contact their local Lucent authorized dealer.
