To all: thanks for your feedback.

to MU: I have not researched BRCM thoroughly because up until now I have had faith that it was a no brainer - broadband, a top 1998 ipo, goldman backing. Just seemed to have everything going for it. I suppose I am getting spoiled given that my portfolio has increased in value 40% in 7 trading days <g>.

Will probably hold BRCM through this current bull run, then probably sell it to help eliminate my margin upon market pullback. After all, taxes have been killing me, so if I can sell a stock without too much profit, that is an advantage. (Sick thinking, I know, but I got hit with a 26% alternative minimum for 1998, and with CA income taxes on top of that, had to pay 36% income tax this year. Has made me reevaluate my strategy. Now I want to sell losers and hold gainers. Thanks again for your input.

Rob
