Amy J. <I see a significant need for commercial customers to spend money for PCs with Intel's high-end chips (website servers, e-commerce, full-motion, etc.)

Amy, I believe you have touched on a salient point that may very well be part of INTC's overall outlook. This thread tends at times to focus solely on U.S. PC retail indicators. Intel addresses many market segments today.

Hi Amy,

Re "spend money for PCs with Intel's high-end chips"

That's why we are all in this stock. At the same time - there
is a troubling trend - as the low-cost CPUs get faster and faster
they will be able to handle tasks like web-serving etc.

Also don't forget the use of server farms made up of multiple cheap PCs.

After all if common network cards max out at 10Mbs - how much
CPU power do you need to saturate the connection? Not much.

SUNW is in command of the high end now I believe - so that's another factor.

Re my portfolio - I have all the big names and some small ones -
no fixed allocation. A big mistake I made once was to be 100%
in Intel - lost a small fortune as a result.

Best Regards
