Exactly. Countries who's internal policies/behaviour we disagree with should be met with economic and politcal sanctions not brute force interventionism.

CBC radio news (Canada) reported this morning that there are "several dozen" British and American Special Forces troops on the ground in Yugoslavia. They reportedly are carrying providing information on targets and troop movement and carrying out acts of sabotage.

1. So much for no ground troops.

2. Do we know now what those three soldiers were doing?

John,

Ya know, if you and others want to argue that the US sits back and minds it own business, which is fine by me, then I dont want to hear anyone bitching because of our "hyporcrisy" and lack of "moral integrity" for not intervening. Isnt that what was being said only a couple years ago in regards Bosnia? It was a different story then, wasnt it? The same people, with a few exceptions, that are posting here moaning and raising holy hell would still be here posting how this country is morally degenerate for letting such disasters go unpunished. No matter what we do, we are guilty. If we act while the world has its thumbs up its ass as usual, we're guilty. If we sit back because there are no national interests involved, we are morally degenerate and selfish, after all we have so much what kind of people are we that we dont want to help others in need? You see Ive heard it all before. Its the price we pay for being the wealthiest, most powerful nation on the planet I suppose.
