1. if you sell during runup, then what happens after split won't matter, you won't have any shares.
2. i don't know what people on this thread think about chances for a split, honestly...lots of rumors tho.
3. during the last 4 splits, i really don't remember if announced during shareholders meetings or not....we could look it up i guess.
4. during CIEN thing, when price high, i read not enuf shares authorized at that time for a split (pre merger failure), but don't have the source handy..sorry.

i'll get site for historical data and post here re: share price subsequent to split. give me a little time tho, stuff happening to several of my holdings today :) :) :)

on your last query, yes -- according to shafik -- who posted the following on mar 26:

"Currently there are 500 million shares authorized of which about 194 million have been issued. 2 for 1 split is a high possibility IMHO (sorry Barb, 3 for 1 not doable, unfortunately but maybe next time :)"
