<As explained on CNBC today, the reason for the russells outperformance is due to recently adjusted weightings.> DD, that explanation may be suitable for CNBC audiences, but.....Regardless of adjusted weightings, the Russell 2000 will always be the smallest 2000 stocks of the Russell 5000. Other small cap measures (including my 401k were also up). The S&P 600 Small Cap Index went up 0.80 points to 162.42 and the Wilshire Small Cap Index rose 7.90 points to 613.53. The Individual Investor Small Cap 500 added 2.53 points.
