How will the satellite boys do the upload? Phone lines or something I haven't heard of yet?

I think it is a good move also, and CPQ for some time has been a leader in building their consumer PC's with the latest technology (ADSL, cable port, etc). The satellite package is another example, although DIRECPC would not address the phone costs as you still need a phone line for the uplink. The satellite today works one way, you request web info via a phone line, and the download occurs via satellite. I have read that two way systems are in development, but it may be a couple years....

PS - I also like the recent 64 bit WIN2000 announcements with Microsoft. Could be significant as the software will be CPQ exclusive prior to Merced release. As always, the question is, will CPQ manage it correctly...
