Any smart player takes some money off the table on the way up. If you can sell 1/4 of the position for a quadruple then the other 3/4 are left with a cost average of zero.

I think it was a smart move on Daniels part.

No, just locking in a profit. Holding the rest long term. You always need to lock in a profit. I am going to start researching a new stock. Could someone give me a good way to find the background of the major officials of the company. This way we wont have any more of this junk like Sklar.
