Hey Blue~

I remember going down to the docks and watching the ships being unloaded - the longshoremen unions were segregated, too, I remember watching black men carry bags of coffee beans on their backs out of the holds of the ships and putting them on the docks. The most gorgeous muscles I have ever seen. The smell of coffee from broken bags I can still remember.

i used to do the very same thing :-) my sis would also drool over their muscles. did you walk through the warehouses too? they were so HUGE when you walked in, the opposite dockside door was just a little square of light that looked a mile away. i'm sure they were infested with river rats, but i never gave it a thought back then. i probably wouldn't step foot in it today.

i knew a medical resident at Charity. he didn't have a life outside of the hospital.

i hate country music too. rap is a close second. it's not a matter of prejudice, but a matter of taste
