limtex, I feel more comfortable with Intel than I do with other PC stocks. The sentiment is very bearish in this sector. The more people talk about emachines and low cost PCs, the more selling pressure we get. Even Intel's positive product mix in sales was not enough to dispell some people's fears about the demise of the PC industry.

I think it is short term phenomenon. Once people come to their senses, they would have missed out on great buying opportunities. I am not ready to buy yet--but will be soon.
I think Microsoft's earnings release will be accompanied by a positive PC industry outlook this time. THat combined with Intel's analyst meeting might be what saves this sector.
