i'm back...fishin was good...looks like good fishin here too.

the report was all i hoped for!!!

the earnings part means nothing. would not have mattered if it was $.25.
the september confirmation from intc and now rambus means everything to me.

a few things to remember:
when rambus says 2000 they mean october 1999. rambus 1Q 2000 actually begins in october.

shipments picked up by boxmakers in jul, aug, and sept will be paid for october or later in that quarter, and accounted for in jan. it works like this...i.e...samsung ships 50 million rdrams to dell. they are warehoused in a designated samsung storage area. when dell takes the rdram to the assembly line royalty payments become due to rambus the following quarter. royalties due for oct, nov, dec 99 shipments will show up on march 2000 report.

again the key here right now is the verification of september launch. i was looking for a statement and got it.

i really like the recent reports of rdram shortages. we have also had a recent rash of volume rdram production schedules. that means all of the rdrams that can be produced will be sold. great news!

when to buy??? dave said it best a few days ago, "they are all good days to buy rmbs."

the time line remains 2002-2003 and beyond. nothing changed here.

again, it seems reasonable to assume the problems which caused the initial delay are now resolved. the release date is september. i'm smiling. time for a beer.
