The same thing happened to Amazon stock when Amazon started sending out coupons to frequent buyers. It seems any kind of promotion by these guys is taken as a sign of weak sales. I suppose that an announcement that their servers went down from overwhelming demand might have had more upward pressure on the stock. It certainly has worked with the online broker stocks!

I like a pro-active management, but aren't these guys overdoing the "bargain", "at cost", and "free" approach???...they are beginning to look like a "going out of business" outfit...like some of those 'Everything must go by xxxx" bankruptcy deals...People could get the idea that they are desperate!!!..(and maybe they are)....Having said that, I don't think that had much to do with the stock tanking...Practically all the internet stuff tanked today...It was brutal!!!...Some of the high flyers tanked big time..like in the double digits!!!..Do you suppose the wheelers and dealers are driving prices down in anticipation of options expiration this Friday???
