Anything's possible. The scenario you paint is the downward spiral.

It's interesting that previous share price deflations started out fast and then slowed down. The declines were long and slow. The Dow dropped a lot in 1929, but continued to drop for a long time after that.

The support for Yahoo will come from the yet-to-arrive enormous number of first-time internet users that use Yahoo as their portal and decide to drop a few bucks into the stock.

I don't think this sector or the overall market will begin to decline significantly until the population as a whole ages and pulls money out for retirement.
