Not sure that is quite the right response, Steven.

I presume Emile could answer: "God speaks through the Bible, and the Bible is there for all to read."

The real question is: "If we are all so limited in our ability to perceive the truth, what about the people who wrote the Bible? "

The answer might be: they were all divinely inspired (like Mohammed).

Then the question is: "Why do we think so? Because they said so? Because the Church said so? Knowing, as we do, the limitations of real human beings, why should we believe them? And when they contradict one another -- as they often do -- which one of them is divinely inspired, and which one is not?"

And so forth and so on...
