The more I looked at this merger between AWHY and Mass Music, the more I cooled to AHWY. IMO, all AHWY's momentum was based on its MP3 capabilities, propriety software for audio delivery, possibilities of leveraging audio with a potential video product, possible buyout candidate blah blah---I believe the street was viewing AHWY the same way, hence the price rise. This buy of Mass Music, to me, is inexplicable. What in the world are they thinking? Etailing? C'mon. Not only do you have CDNOW and the Gorilla to contend with, you now are confusing the already confused with and identity crisis that for most of them will be loathe to evaluate. IMO, their new found stock currency is misplaced; it should have gone into buying a video streaming asset to leverage audio and more firmly I.D. themselves as a value added play for any portal or Ecommerce behemoth.
