Today in the NY Times, Sidgmore said that they were willing to walk away from Nextel because wireless is not imperative right now. Nextel's board is meeting to discuss WCOM's offer. The Times reads Sidgmore's comments as a bluff because Sidgmore has been the most bullish on acquiring a wireless company and he is probably just trying to signal Nextel that WCOM is not going to negotiate upwards. I didn't know things were so far along with Nextel. (Sorry, no time to dig it out and post it)
