Dennis, I'm not sure about bluebonnets in Cement City (aka..Houston, Dallas etc.), but there are a ton around the Austin area. I imagine if you were able to drive out of the city to the north, you would run across a patch or two. It's really something when you find a large outcropping of wildflowers..unbelievably beautiful. Indian Paintbrush is another that mixes well in the blue patch. What is so neat, I think, Is how they keep coming back year after year faithfully (barring a major drought). You know it's the State Flower of Texas! Sorry, My Tx. BS is surfacing. Perhaps Preston could scope out a nice spot for you prior to your arrival. You know he is the "bug guy" and they always know the best spots to pollinate.
