Just did an excel spreadsheet on Intel's chip volume, known sell prices and profits. Based on my figures, it is virtually impossible for Intel to have achieved the after tax profits (does AMD pay any taxes?) of $2 billion for the quarter without substantial profits from Celeron. The profits from PII, PIII and Xeon are the lion's share, but if you zero the profits from Celeron you can't get to 2 billion in profits. If you lose money on Celeron, it gets even more impossible. I'm not saying that Celeron is their highest profit product, but it is profitable. BTW, my figures gave a blended ASP of $237 which seems a little high to me.
