It depends on the order. Remember Nuremburg? I am speaking strictly for myself, and I am saying if I were a military leader and knew that my commander in chief was ordering me to order my soldiers into a battle of dubious merit and little chance of winning, and that commander in chief ignored the counsel of his advisors, I would resign before I would have innocent blood on my hands.

<Would you rather live in a country where military authority was not totally subservient
to the civil authority? Yep, they have their orders. And Im damned glad that our high
command has never gotten it into their heads that they can decide when and on what terms
to obey elected representatives.>

Under your logic, then the German soldiers that tried to assassinate Hitler were not justified in their actions and were traitors, therefore their hanging was just. The Germans that stated at Nuremburg, "I was only following orders" should have been immediately released.

Your logic is truly amazing. You have just now condoned anything the Serb soldiers might do if it is OK'd by their "elected" officials.
