<<It is sometimes easier to do things for friends
than for ourselves. >>

I figured that out when i was a very young child. And i thought about the phenomenon quite a lot. I was terribly shy, really almost incapacitated by shyness; but i noticed that when i was with my little sister, an odd strength appeared in me from nowhere. No one could push us around, I wasn't afraid of strangers, i could find things, lost toys or the way home. I tried to use this observation about myself when i was alone, to call that bravery up in myself, but it was no use. If i was alone, I was terrified; if i was responsible for my sister, I was almost fearless.

Jeez Gaugs, never had biscotti. What is it? Sounds good, hope no veggies are involved. I'm eating vanilla ice cream with raspberries and chocolate topping. Damn it's good.

Good point but in the case of my buddy there isn't any limit. If I was in a well ass deep in rattlesnakes he'd jump in and then ask questions. I can't do less.

Nudie bar? Free beer? Give me directions and I'll be there.

I have never made biscotti. Now, I feel as if I have been Missing Out. Of course, I like biscott, but at $1 a little biscuit I rarely indulge. Not that I don't have the dollar, but it just seems obscene. I see that the solution has been staring me in the face, all these years. Make biscotti. Why didn't I think of that?

Now, if I could just persuade one of the children to light the oven. I haven't been able to kneel for a while, and unfortunately, I did a very good job of teaching them never to play with matches.
