More CC information Lot of information so I'll summarize the key points: 1. They have a lower breakeven than competitors. Will exploit that. Most competitors working on negative margin while their margins are increasing. 2. they will aggressively defend their turf. won't get specific, but will lower prices to stay competitive. Their costs are so low, they think they can do this and still make money. Plus, increased traffic to at cost brings auction business, which is more profitable. 3. They have been advertising recently in certain markets with fantastic results and increased traffic. Will increase advertising exponentially this year. 4. Yahoo - they and Yahoo have mutually decided to terminate their joint efforts. Wasn't that profitable for onsale and not a priority. But relationship remains good and they're working on other things. 5. Softbank Japan - progressing nicely. business to business now and expanding to consumers later this month. 6. Patents - cautious on making statements, but when asked by an analyst if they should get licensing fees from others, they seemed to say yes. (great) 7. May 17 is the shareholder meeting. 8. Again, when asked by analyst about margins, said that the recent month showed increasing margins. (great) 9. Talked about advertising and coop fees but nothing specific. All in all, very positive call. None of the analysts said "great quarter" but what can you do? They are very focused on being #1 in the space, and it sounds like they mean it. BTW, they had to cut it short since they would be on cnbc tonight. Did anyone catch it? Hope I'm not the only one that thought it was good. We'll know tomorrow, I guess.
