Which nw co did you mean?

Unrelated, did you see HP's Joranda 420 w/ MS CE and MS-Outlook and "pocket" WW, Excel.

I'm waiting until it exchanges data with the PC... so I can transfer my MS-Outlook address book onto it.

I didn't want to buy 3Com's Palm Pilot...different address book than my work machine; different OS.

Paul -
RE: they will do the same thing to networking companies what they did to Compaq.
What exactly do you think Intel did to CPQ? I assume you mean Intel's attempt to commoditize the market via board level products, or perhaps "level the playing field" by providing engineering assistance so that companies like DELL can produce high performance products with essentially no engineering capability in-house.

BTW I agree that this is Intel's intent with their network initiatives, especially some of the more subtle moves to extend Intel's reach to the "other side of the pipe".

Do you think that this policy has been good for Intel, and/or good for the industry?
