This whipsaw trading makes shorting any indexes too scary. I almost shorted DIA Thursday but I had a creeping feeling that the indexes could still recover.

Absent any solid signals, I am sticking to individual stocks for now. I don't think this market has any idea which way it wants to go.

Jim: This may sound crazy to you, but I have buy signals for all of the indices that I track today. I don't think it is wise to short right now.
