Well, I do know it's Windows NT. Development of TP software will be done in Redmond, and production will actually run out of Denver. I'm not sure what version of NT. And the "Pay Anyone" payments will be shipped over to Citi (NY?), if any bank actually chooses to outsource to CitiBank.

The more I think about it, the more I think Citi will implode over this TransPoint relationship...Going by the release dates for Key bank, it looks like they will use TP for presentment, CF for pay anyone. And I don't think any other banks are really looking to use Citi's pay anyone engine.

Citi has to be asking themselves, what's in it for them? Meanwhile, Bank Boston is leaving Citi for Fleet's platform.

<< Just wondering out loud, does anyone know what NT server platform the TP server software runs on, NT4.0 or Windows2000 (aka NT 5.0)? >>

I hadn't even thought of this before. I'm a UX IT Engineer and have several NT Engineers on my team. The thought of my financial transactions being dependent on the NT platform is simply frightening!

It's an unstable and insecure platform with security loopholes abound. I'm sure there are some NT Support guys on this thread. What's your honest read? I'm getting my info from guys that support a couple hundred NT servers for a large company's infrastructure. Any other opinions will be welcome. Being a UX guy, I'm obviously biased.

I've always viewed windows as a platform to play games on, but if you want to do real work (with databases and other large applications) and be able to depend on the security, you don't want to use windows of any kind. Of course, just my opinion.
