It is an electromechanical-enclosure manufacturer, so different than run of the mill ECM that does PCBA assembley. COmpetitive advantage is that they are $1bb in revenue and global in a very fragmented industry with a lot of mom&pop businesses that can't offer global mfg. and engineering capability, so APW will take a ton of share from these guys and consolidat the industry. Given it is a $20bb industry (and growing at 10% organically as they do high end networking, telecomm and storage enclosures [emc is one of largest customers]), there is a lot of share for them to take. Just like we have seen in the ECM industry, the global players grow rapidly and gain share at the expense of smaller, non-global competitors that have less to offer their customers.
