Hi,
Finally got a sell on DD yesterday. I made a decision that I want to bounce off you for an opinion. I did very well on DD all the way up to $80 per share. It was one of those where I was complaining about the excess, cash that I had accumulated. By the time I learned about Vealies it had already started a long slow slide down to the low fifties. I used up almost all of the cash and found myself the holder of an very large number of shares. Yesterday when the stock hit 68 7/8 I felt that it represented too large a percentage of my portfolio. When APCC hits the low 40s I'm afraid the situation will repeat itself. I'm just a little chicken of having too many eggs in one basket.
What I did was to sell the Newport recommendation plus enough shares to reduce my DD holdings by about 30%. I did the Newport transaction first in the usual fashion. Then I did the reduction in shares and cash which seemed to keep Newport happy. I just wanted to get your or anyone else on the threads opinion on this action.
