I just came from PNLK and they have a chatroom under discussion rooms for "PNL Investors", I have been talking with one guy. Everyone should go check it out. We can have some real time discussions now! Heres another thing; I just got off the phone with a trader at Fidelity Investments. I was trying to call in my certificates to prevent shorting. In the discussion I found out that if the shares are in a cash account they CANNOT be shorted! They must be in a margin account for that to happen. I said transfer them the the cash account and now NONE of my shares are available for the shorters. His name was Steve Hett and his phone is 800-544-4916 X2216. Please confirm this with your broker, this is so much easier than trying to get the certificates in hand. I can't believe I did not find this out before. EVERYONE should do this as it is no work or cost and takes only one day to finalize the transfer.
