John;

Is there evidence anywhere that a co. has done in the past what everybody is suggesting here - ie. announce Nasdaq acceptance the weekend before actual trading begins. I can't see this somehow making any sense. Why not give a week of digestion first?

John,

Is it quite possible that BII throws a party on Monday (ie. Naz trading) and no one came? With an IPO, U.S. brokers are given at least a week or two notice of when the stock will be trading, not so the case here.

Don't think we will get immediate run-up because of lack of U.S. awareness or lack of timing of notification so that U.S. brokers can solicit orders.

My take is that it will be a general rise in price, rather than a big explosion in price.

Victor.

John:

I spoke to their IR person as part of my DD. He said then that the way it would happen is the stock would be halted, for a day perhaps two, the announcement would be made, then trading would re-open on both the TSE and NAS. The reasoning behind the extended halt is that it would generate publicity and build demand. Makes perfect sense to me.

Bottom line: anyone waiting to buy post-annoucement will be competing for NASDAQ co-listed shares with all the US investors.

That was a couple of months ago, I don't know if plans have changed since.

HTH,

Brian

>>Do you think there are people hoping to get in after a NASDAQ announcement but before the actual listing day?
They may not get that opportunity if anything is announced after the close, and trade starts Monday as speculated. Just a thought.
