Quick question to the thread:

What is more of a threat to CYMI's future?

(1) Current group of competitors and their ability to steal market share or,
(2) new post-optical technologies on the horizon

Which one of the above keeps folks up at night? Both bother me equally.

Honest now...if the above threats are PERCEIVED to be threats by analysts, that's enough for me to qualify it as a threat. Doesn't matter what the truth of the matter is.

Actually, the death of optical lithography has been predicted as less than 5 years out ever since feature sizes approached 1 micron.

I wouldn't make too many plans for its funeral just yet.

It's still the cost and productivity leader by a wide margin. Nobody looking for a new way to lose money. The chipmakers have already discovered enough of those. ;-)
