Heinz: Thanks. Let's see if MRK finishes a similar pattern now.

PUT/CALL ratios for today

CBOE total: 0,63
individual equity:0,50
OEX: 1,66
VIX:25,48

ind.equity call volume:777,973(+50,979) put vol.:388,539(+49,000)
OEX call vol.:69,274(-17,967) put vol.:114,955(-27,962)
the ratios remain bullish, although high call volume in individual equities shows there is still a sizeable element of upside speculation in the market.the slight rise in the VIX was once again due to an expansion in OEX put premiums. this is remarkable considering the volatility in the OEX has been very low lately. OEX traders continue to bet on a decline and are prepared to pay up for it. the ten-day moving average of the OEX-ratio at 1,62 is now even higher than it was at the panic-bottom last october. this is highly unusual with the market near it's highs and suggests that the market should go higher.
