Simple no one was placing market orders to sell!

It doesn't have to be a market order. Anyone can place a
sell limit at a specific price at any time. Like I
said, I was right in the middle of the action, with plenty
of volume going off at my bid price, yet I wasn't getting
filled. After waiting verrrrry patiently, I assumed that
someone very special(ist) was buying in front of me. I
then decided to hit the offer because I do want to own more
of the stock and 1/8 is trivial given the big picture.
My order on the bid did get filled eventually, but the execution
was in a manner that looked like I was being thrown scraps
and is not representative of the tape. I never did see my
order at the offer print. I've never experienced anything like
this before. Yes, best bid = highest bid.

Anyway, net/net I'm glad I added more AXC today.
