ho: Thanks for your thoughts and posts. I have just forwarded that last one to a leadinng financial journalist who is in corresponence with me. He has been suggesting that COMPAQ has been hiding inventory by transferring it to distributors and he heard a rumour that COMPAQ was discounting heavily to distributors. That article states the opposite and quotes distributors directly. COMPAQ is suffering from the reputation of stuffing without actually enjoying any of the benfits of stuffing. Maybe it should just go ahead and stuff - NOT.
