Is this to good to be true? Will the long wait now bear fruit. The key phrase:
"General Magic sells its Portico service through resellers but already has trials in place with 11 providers and expects to announce deployments soon, says Mark Campbell, the company's senior product manager for telecommunications."

Straight,

I just glanced over on the Yahoo board and found these two messages. As always, the info you get over there is always suspect. But, his posts concerning the telcos make as much sense as anything I have seen so far.

Take care and will be back in a week.

If you need to know, here is how it works.
If you don't have PORTICO.
You dial your own phone number ( Telco designated ).
TELCO CENTRAL OFFICE recognizes that your phone is engaged, routes your call to GMGC through LEASED LINE to your VIRTUAL
PERSONAL ASSISTANT (VPA) "a PORTICO with a different name".
When a caller dials your phone number ( Telco designated ), if you don't answer your phone or your phone is engaged, TELCO CENTRAL
OFFICE recognizes that and routes your call to GMGC through LEASED LINE to your VIRTUAL PERSONAL ASSISTANT (VPA).

"OUR SERVICES ARE READY TO DEPLOY"
AND IT IS ALL IMHO
