This is like entering a party after everyone has already had a drink or two and broken into happy little groups, and you stand there and feel self-conscious for a minute or two. HAs someone already written that Beltane (Beltaine,Baltein) is named after the god Baal and we must burn him in effigy on May Eve?
And will we dance around the May Pole, which was a charming tradition at my college, although I wonder if the administration understood that a May Pole is symbolic of a god's phallus.
Thank you for inviting me! My in-laws are here, so I won't be around much until SUnday!
But then I shall party.
