TSO:

Sorry for the long silence (O.K., enough applause from the peanut gallery!<ggg>)...I jumped ship a few weeks ago to work off some real-world stress, a common condition, I am informed by reliable sources, to which this wolf rarely falls prey.

Wolf..'tis time for your portfolio to shine, no?.. PSUN on top, the oils coming up from below. You are ready for stock heaven, from all appearances.

You'd think so, wouldn't you? In truth, however, my 'portfolio' is acting more like a broad-based mutual fund with the winners offset by the losers...over-diversification? Maybe I'll market it as such and at least collect some commish.

Hope you have found a theater with "The Matrix" showing. From the feature I saw on it, it is "something else" both philosophically and physically....the first of the "New Millenium" films.

E! has given it an enthusiastic 'thumbs up' and I know she is as high on Sci-Fi as I (say that ten times fast) but the reviews also said that the decibel level is awesome and, frankly, I needed and still need a bit of quiet time.

My Canadian oils are looking a little less peaked but not nearly as robust as RIG, HAL and the rest. The problem remains the age-old dilemma of no additional capital available to acquire more--oils, that is, otherwise I'll destroy my carefully balanced asset allocation model.<g>

Are you currently shopping for any of our discussed candidates? E!, if you're checking in from time to time, how do see BRL now? (I should've been around to ask you that question at ~30 but...). TSO, how about some AOL, Dell ?... even E!'s ATHM has come down some so that we paupers may be able to afford a share or two.

Lastly, I couldn't remain out of LSI and simply had to restore part of my trading position but at a lofty 35 3/4. Are you beefing up your 'monitoring' position yet?

O.K., let the golfing resume!<gg>

Regards,
Wolf

p.s. Re: Oil prices...one of my business acquaintances is senior counsel for Shell Oil in Houston. While not an oil man, he is an astute investor and sure has a handle on the petroleum biz. Recent conversations included speculation on the near-term outlook on oil prices and he is, frankly, quite pessimistic about the ability of prices to stay at current levels. I am persuaded that he is correct in his opinion that there may a sharp drop back to ~15 where it will consolidate until demand from emerging markets regains momentum, probably next year...FWIW.
