Yeah, it's real disheartening when half my profits go to paying the commissions. My returns are much better position trading at a discount broker.

Dave:

If you don't mind sharing with us, which discount broker do you use? What are their commission rates and how fast are their executions?

I think discount brokers have a lot to offer active daytraders, especially the typical guaranteed fills from their autoexecution systems. Note: In a very fast market, I understand that market makers can and do turn off their autoexecution systems and complete all fills manually. I don't think this happens very frequently, though. Have you, Barb or Gary Korn noticed this frequently or at all?

Thanks,
-Eric

Re: "With a discount broker I can buy at the bid, granted not in a fast moving stock, which I rarely play anyway, and I don't pay more than $19.95."

Which discount broker(s) do you use?

Best wishes,

I2
