George- Greece putting troops will destabalize the already fragile infrastructure and I don't believe they will put troops in. As for taking care of refugees - the only thing that will happen to them is they will be getting shot by the "peacekeepers" when they revolt from their deteriorating living conditions and their frustration. I put this mess on clinton not milo - the situation has been exacerbated exponentially with NO preparation for whatever reason, the administration saw fit to get involved immediately.

It was NOT for humanitarian reasons; we should have been done with the bombing within the first week. There is a reason for continuing this "attack" - bombing ONE fuel depot a night and dropping thousands of bombs and NATO and US military officials puffing up their chests and saying the latest night's raids were a success. Give me a break if you believe this; but many people in the country do believe it. This is nuts.

How can an intelligent person hear "no ground troops are on the table" by clinton and the military - yet NATO and "invisible" military officials say they are going in. announcements of reserves being called in; clinton announces over the weekend that people in the service who are up for release - HAVE TO STAY IN SERVICE UNTIL THE "CONFLICT IN KOSOVO" is over. When the language does not match up with the actions - you have got to go with the actions.

This country has surely been dummied down and has gotten many weak nations involved. 19 NATO members - none of them but us are worth any military might and we are slowly or quickly becoming diminished. This action could not have been taken if not led by the US and the only reason the other countries are involved is we pay them their country's GNP yearly or sbusidize at least half of their yearly debt.

Weak countries (like Greece) will capitulate to the soviet powers that remain and will rise with the other powers in resistance to this continued activity. France will follow, always the ones to follow the biggest leader, protecting their coveted asses, terrorist heaven.

Anyway, my opinion is Greece has already played its hand and failed with the big pronouncements of getting the pows out. Impotent and the populus of Greece are going to go with the opposite side. Jacalyn
