The PALM computer will be tomorrow's star, what is more the OS and related application programs will be just like a money printing machine.

Does that mean you're betting on 3Com, which owns the Palm OS? Do you see any hope for CE?

The next sales which will make a killing are the hand held PDAs. In the future, the traditional PCs will work just like a server stay at home, and every member of the family will have a PDA

I agree! Not sure there will be just one computer, tho--think many families will have mini "LANS" networks at home--Dad, Mom, kids--as I don't think computers are going away by any means, in fact as they get cheaper they will become more ubiquitous (remember hearing about the death of the book--by the digital age? Not happening. Superstores raking in more $ on books than ever), but I think the PDA's will become as you say, like watches--we'll all have them, we'll access the internet from the kitchen, the car, etc--carry them like pagers--check our email--make calls w/ them etc

It's gonna be interesting! And I'm glad MSFT is spearheading some of the code.
Jill

ed, can it be a wireless PDA device, that also plugs into a PC -- so that "up" and downloading can be done, as is possible?
