Position rifle with iron sights is too rich for me. I shoot from a chair, with a 36x scope. Holding the gun is a job for a tripod rest, not my arm. I have admiration for those guys who can actually hold the gun and then hit the bull's-eye.

Vampires do make the best marksmen. Their blood never gets hot. Always wear a hat and dark glasses however.

<<Accurate long range target shooting requires excellent physical conditioning and great physical control. At 500 and 600 years with iron sights, a perfect score (and almost all X's) is required to win. The heart rate must be controlled (some guys take beta-blockers now -- don't know if that's illegal), the blood pressure must be kept down.>>

I knew a guy who gave up coffee and cigarettes to get steadier.

Did you ever shoot the 1,000 yard targets. Off hand, iron sights, 3 foot bulls. I can't see that far.

I read a book about the first Marine sniper in Vietnam. Damn, 3 days to crawl 1,000 yards to get in position. Wasted a guy at over 2,000 yards with a .50. On purpose. Camo seemed very important.
