rudedog... does this source or anyone have any idea who is being considered as Pheiffer's replacement? I think if I were a cpq shareholder I would actually want a strong marketing person because imo cpq is weak there. Fwiw HP people are generally not the best at marketing I find.

Edit: and where is Mason going? It says CEO of another company.

The bottom line is that CPQ is no longer a lean and aggressive company. They have become what I call a mutual fund company. A lot of parts but they are not the best of class in any field. Be it PC's, service, servers, search engines or anything else they have picked up from Digital and Tandem over the past few years
