Maybe Gerstner is right: "The PC is dead."

JMHO.

Good post Harry,

IMO,
1.This may help deflect some of the lawsuits , depending on
how it is conveyed.
2. Wall Street, analysts, investors in general have lost confidence
and credibility with the existing management and with the stuffing
incident still looking at them in the face, requires change in a large
magnitude.
3. Who would want to face the wrath of investors at the shareholder
meeting when keeping what is perceived as poor management?
4. Rosen was an original co-founder in 1982 and has great integrity.
5. The core of Compaq's mission has not changed nor has the quality
of the products and employees (as we sometimes see here on the
thread).
We may go up or down but 6 months from now (or shorter), the
results will reveal their decisions.

Good Day,
