Can you express DELL's vision to me in say 5 sentences? Then I will at least have an idea of what you guys are talking about.

Remember Gerstner's famous statement about IBM? he said "IBM doesn't need a vision" and he was right.

Not having a vision is not a black mark. I just have never heard a vision articulated for DELL. Maybe someone could help me out by explaining what DELL's vision is, I would love to know.

Dell has built such a revolutionary infrastructure of business processes that they were able to build and virtually stock Gigabuys with 30,000 items in three months. Their vision was to go to 40,000 items in six months and tie it to their premier pages. At the rate Dell executes, a three year vision is a waste. Still, there is 1000 Tennessee acres arranged for, M.Dell sees 1.4 billion PC's, and 14 billion net appliances in 5 -7 years. Etc.
