>If nothing else, maybe NATO can establish a fire break, isolating Yugoslavia from it's neighbors, while they burn themselves out.

Until the next round.<

Not exactly a compelling case for sending our sons, fathers, brothers, and nephews into combat, Nuke.

If American's really think they support this war, then I think we ought to re-institute the draft. We'll find out how many Americans are willing to send their sons, husbands, and grandsons to fight for the Independence of Kosovo.

There seems to be this attitude that if someone volunteered then they are expendable, and we can use them as we please in our effort to reform the world. Sort of a "Sorry Sucker, you fight, not me" scenario.

I wonder how many Americans would still be pleased to have a ground war if Russia decided to arm the Serbs. Maybe Moscow should do it, and just let Washington shit their pants.

nuke44, Agreed "plus sa chose, plus c'est la meme chose" as the French say (The more things change, the more they stay the same). That's why I say stop the bombing and use dollars to rebuild the Balkans- hopefully give them a stake in some meaningful to lose, prosperity and well being.....
