What did you think of EP's personality, veracity, techical knowledge, and his ability to manage Compaq's transition from a low tech box maker into a diversified hitech industry leader? I have no way to evaluate your technical expertise. I was questioning your ability to recognize and analyze management capabilities, vision, and abilities to execute the same over a period of time. Your inference that EP was initially able to fool people through a program to indescriminately slash expenses and grow revenunes through a haphazard acquisition binge (eg DEC and Tandem) is not all that illuminating.
