All,

Most people don't see the big picture and they worry too much. How many really understand the potential impact of Internet? Very few. In order to understand the impact of Internet, one has to cast away the burdens of 19th century thinking. Most people only look no beyond than 6 months. And due to their personal limitations, they are not capable of thinking in terms of speed of electrons. So, the potential of Electronic based commerce is alien to most people. Mentally they are trying very hard to discount the impact of companies like AMZN. Can't blame them, it's just not easy for folks to see. If we can roll back the clock to 1996, presenting them with AOL at $10 a share, they still wouldn't buy it because they wouldn't believe that in 1999, 17 million people will be using AOL. They would laugh at you when you told them so. Same applied to AMZN, they can't see one day that 800 Million people will buy stuff on AMZN. Sure, eventually they will see it. But it's too late for them.
What a challenge to see the potential of AMZN. Even the editor of Individual Investor Magazine can't see it, let alone small John Doe investors.

Don't slap yourself too hard in 2010 that you missed AMZN, you deserve the punishment of being lack of vision in 1999.
