Well, I'm old enough to remember those civil rights days, but not old enough to have participated in them. I did, in my own little teenage way do one thing though, for which I am glad. It was in Georgia...and I was in a laundromat and it said "Whites Only" in one side. Well, I got real persnickity about that and I refused to go into the "Whites Only" side. Made me mad. So I went into the other side instead. The sad thing is that I had the right to do that....but the other side couldn't go into the "Whites Only" one. Anyway, it's good that those signs are down now.
