Speaking of the Schwager books, there one chapter in the New Market Wizards book where some famous trader (I think it was Victor Sperandeo) trained two guys to trade - one was his phone clerk who had no college education and one was a Ph.d in something. In the end, the phone clerk, who apparently was risk averse due to his living paycheck to paycheck experience, and cut losses very quickly, succeeded very well and the Ph.d lost everything. I thought that was interesting and instructive, especially in light of the past several days.
