gtw "country stores"
I thought I had heard a rumour once that Dell may setup demonstration kiosks through a partnership with Best Buy or Circuit City or some such outfit. I haven't heard much since. It seemed like a good idea to me to let some customers see the machines. I guess the stores wanted too big a cut for the resulting purchases.

my experience with gateway country posted on microsoft board.

"i am sitting in a gateway showroom in high rent shopping center in cupertino (heart of silicon valley about 1/2 mile from apple). overhead that dell doesn't have. place is at least 20 yards across and 15 yards deep. only about 3 customers in here now [1pm] including me and i'm just entertaining myself."

what does "bto model" mean?
